"Lohr records four possible writers of this name, of whome one was an Oxford master (†1311 ...), accepted by Emden as the author of these works. Lohr's other possibilities are all Continental, not very probable in this manuscript of obscure English commentators. Russel also proposes an alternative who was archdeacen of Exeter and later Wells, but like Emden he favours the master who died in 1311, a canon of York and archdeacon of Carlisle." [vgl.
